Chance Wayne was born last March and last November his little cousin and playmate was born. The new baby is Damion Riddley. He seems so tiny, but then we remembered how tiny Chance seemed when he was first born. Damion is so inquisitive. He opens his eyes and looks almost startled when he first wakes up; as if to say, "Whoa, what's goin' on!!"

Chance loves his little cousin. He kisses him, licks him and hugs him. It will be fun to watch them grow up together and become best friends.

This is baby Chance.  Remember when he was born?  Well he just had his 5 month birthday and boy is he happy.  He is such a happy, healthy baby.  He rolls over both ways now and his mama swears he says, "Mama".  LOL  He laughs outloud and his eyes twinkle.  Pugsmom is very thrilled with her great grandson.
All that smiling wore him out.  Chance and his favorite monkey decided to take a snooze.

Did you all do anything special for National Night Out?  I took a couple of my grandkids to the neighborhood park and all the neighbors were there we had a pot luck dinner and the kids played games and firemen from the Gladstone Fire Department and police officers from the Gladstone Police Department came with their sirens on and talked to the kids and gave them hats and sticker badges.  It was fun.  Here's my grandson John and grand daughter, Nicki and their friend Nikk.
They were into dessert by the time I took these pictures.
We all had a good time.

Puggy down!!!! Is there a doctor in the house?

The puggies got into a fight two days ago; of all things it was over a bite of bread.

Phoebe got injured and today she had to go to the vet to get her toenail removed.
On the way home we stopped and McDonalds and got a McMuffin to share.  She's a happy camper now.

I wonder if everyone that has more than one pug has problems with them fighting.  Why can't they all just love each other?

The pug population is growing around here!

We just added two more little pugs to our family.  Introducing Olita the brindle girl and Dutchy the fawn boy.  Olita and Dutchy were used as breeders and then given up for adoption.  We were fortunate enough to be chosen as their adoptive family.  They are both 18 months old.  Dutchy has already had his boy parts removed and Olita gets her surgery next month.
This is our little girl Olita.

Meet our boy Dutchy.

Phoebe and Kizzy like them pretty good.  They are still puppies and want to play a lot.  Sometimes the play turns into a fight and we have to break it up.

Now we are a fine family of four pugs, one maxwell terrier and two stuck up cats.

The cats wouldn't cooperate for pictures today.  LOL

Olita already has her own blog thanks to Nicki my granddaughter.  You can find it at http://www.diaryofolita.com/.  Check it out.

Laughter does good!

Way back in August of 2009 I had a project.  I was going to clear off my dining room table, so we could actually sit and have a meal there.  Well, here it is June of 2010 and it's finally done.  LOL

Last night we had our first meal on the dining room table in the year of 2010.  It was great.  Not the meal (I'm the worst cook), but the family togetherness was so much fun.  I think we all had such a good time we didn't notice the awful food.  LOL

Speaking of recycled dogs........

A friend of my son, who is a single dad of two great pre-teen boys, lost his job a few months ago and could no longer afford to keep his two little doxie puppies.  They were very well cared for, up-to-date with shots and clean and oh so happy!!!  My son brought them home.  One of them is going on to another great home and one is staying with our family.  They are the sweetest tempered dogs I've ever met and so loving.

The puggie girls aren't sure if they like the intruders yet, but the little doxies are so friendly they just won't be ignored.  Maxie, the one in the red harness is the least happy with the new additions.

They are nearly 100% house trained, nearly.

They LOVE the fenced back yard to play in.  I hope the weather holds out, so they get lots of exercise.

It's a Boy!!! SOGWPIP (silly old grandma with pictures in purse)

I haven't updated in a long time, but it's time now.

We just welcomed a new family member into the world.  Meet Master Chance Wayne.  He was born March 12, 2010 and weighed 7 pounds 13 1/2 ounces.  Is he cute or what?  His great grandma loves him and thinks kissing those smooshy little cheeks is absolute heaven.  :-)

How exciting it was, after the long wait, to welcome Baby Chance home.  Even FlatPuglet was here to join in the celebration.

He and the human mommy waited patiently for the baby.

Then, when the baby finally got here, he sniffed him and decided he was better than a puppy for now.

Before FlatPuglet left for his next stop he posed for a picture with Phoebe and Kizzy, the resident pugs.

Some of these pictures and more can be viewed along with the full story of FlatPuglet's visit by going to http://www.flatpuglet.com/.
FlatPuglet's mission is to bring awareness to the world about rescue organizations and about recycled animals who need love and homes.
Chance Wayne's mission is to eat, sleep, poop and get as many hugs and kisses as any baby can stand.

Who is taking who for a walk?

I set out to take the pug girls for a walk, but Kizzy got so excited she decided to take Phoebe and me for a walk instead.  LOL  They have been so cooped up with the rain and wind that the first sunny day was too much to endure inside the house.
Once settled down they got into a rythm of running circles around my ankels and tying me up in knots.
Ususally I take two walks and only take one pug at a time, so that doesn't happen.  They really enjoy each other though, so I gave in.
We are waiting for Flat Puglet to come for a visit.  Have you heard of him?  He is famous and he loves to help rescued animals like pugs.  Check him out on http://www.dailypuglet.com/.
